Wildlife abounds,from Ky village to LBL to the southern most tip of Ky lake,or Barkley.
It is about 8 miles across up by the dam,rough water and the center is often shallow,maps gps showing depth contour(note all maps show summer pool levels at 359 regardless of what the pool is at currently)
and as one goes south not quite as wide with more numerous bays with main lake grass and lilly pads in some bays.
Main lake rollers are normal at about 2 1/2 ft but closely packed together so they dont look that tall,storms or wind can bring in much higher.
Crappie and bass fishing is superb,Kentucky lake is the only Tennessee lake exempt from the smallmouth length limit of 18 its 15 across the board here,exception is spotted bass -no length requirement
